In certain specific situations, additional fees may apply depending on the time required and the professional services provided. These fees are always reasonable, clearly indicated on your receipt (for insurance purposes), and in full compliance with the Chiropractors’ Code of Ethics.
Situations that may involve additional fees:
- Mandatory Reassessment / Follow-up Clinical Exam
A full reassessment is required if your last visit was more than 6 to 12 months ago—even for the same condition. - Extended consultation time
If the complexity of your condition requires more time than a standard appointment, an extra 15-minute block may be added to your session. - Professional services outside of treatment
These services may include:- Preparing referrals or imaging prescriptions
- Reviewing and interpreting medical reports
- Sending personalized therapeutic exercises
- Professional communications (phone, email, messaging) that require clinical review and documentation
Depending on the situation, a professional act (teleconsultation, research, report preparation, or additional time block) may be billed based on time invested, complexity, service importance, and level of required expertise, as outlined in Article 73 of the Code of Ethics.

“After a period of 6 to 12 months, a reassessment or full clinical examination must be performed, even if the patient consults for the same issue.”
Appointment cancellation or modification policy
- In order for us to manage schedules and the waiting list more efficiently, you are required to cancel or change your appointment 24 hours in advance. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the Clinic being obliged to invoice the amount of the fees provided for the missed consultation.
Insurance
- The invoice must be paid in full by the patient. We will make the claim online, if the patient's insurance company is part of the Telus Health Program.
- The Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec does not cover chiropractic care. However, the majority of group insurance companies reimburse part of the costs. It is best to check your insurance contract for details of your chiropractic coverage.
