INITIAL EXAM
- During your first visit, the chiropractor will conduct a clinical interview (known as an anamnesis) and a thorough physical examination to identify the cause of your problem. The chiropractor may order x-rays to confirm the clinical diagnosis.
EXPLANATION OF THE TREATMENT TO BE RECEIVED
- Then, he will determine if chiropractic care is appropriate or if it is preferable to refer you to another health professional. If chiropractic can help you, he will take the time to explain your condition to you as well as the care that will be provided during your treatment: joint manipulations, muscle therapy, complementary approaches, and physical therapy devices. Throughout the consultation, he will answer all of your questions.
- If required, he will complete the consultation with the recommendation of exercises adapted to your health problem as well as advice on ergonomics, posture and lifestyle.
COMPLEMENTARY SOLUTIONS
- The chiropractor offers a solution that is complementary to other types of health care and that builds on the human body's intrinsic ability to self-regulate. He does not resort to medication or more invasive surgical approaches.
COLLABORATION
- The doctor of chiropractic will also collaborate with the other health professionals involved in your file in order to coordinate actions and optimize results.
